If there’s one thing Adelaide Fringe does better than anywhere else, it’s turning unexpected spaces into unforgettable party destinations. This summer, Hotel Alba’s resort-style pool area is set to become one of the most talked-about Fringe venues, as Raves in Waves Pool Party splashes into the 2026 program with a bass-heavy, Las Vegas-inspired rave by the water.

Sun-soaked and unapologetically fun, the pool area at Hotel Alba feels like a Mediterranean escape dropped into the heart of Adelaide. Framed by sculptural palms, soft curves and crisp white lines, the pool shimmers as the social centrepiece of the hotel. It is stylish without being stiff, playful without trying too hard, and perfectly designed for long, warm Fringe nights where the music rolls on and the drinks keep flowing.

By day, the poolside hums with relaxed energy. For Fringe, the pool itself becomes part of the show, reflecting colour, movement and sound as guests dance, dip and drift between the water and the surrounds.

Raves in Waves runs across two high-energy sessions of 105 minutes each, separated by a 30-minute intermission. One session leans into Drum & Bass, while the other explodes into Hard Dance, with two MCs hyping the crowd and keeping the energy high from start to finish. The intimacy of the poolside space means you are never far from the action, blurring the line between spectator and participant.

Every ticket includes canapés and a $10 drink card, making it easy to settle in and stay awhile. Outside the pool, waitstaff circulate with food, while the surrounding lounge areas invite guests to relax between sets or dive straight back into the action. Pool floaties, themed décor and interactive games add a playful layer to the experience, turning the venue into a fully immersive party playground.

For those wanting to elevate the night even further, a limited number of VIP Flamingo-themed lounge areas are available as a ticketed upgrade. With prime positioning, exclusive seating and serious pool party vibes, they are expected to sell fast.

Running from 17 December 2025 to 28 February 2026, Raves in Waves Pool Party is shaping up as a summer Fringe essential. With lifeguards, security and a dedicated team on site, guests can focus on what matters most: music, atmosphere and one of the most unique poolside parties Adelaide has seen.
