Guests will be hosted at the Lameroo Memorial Hall – about a two-hour drive from Adelaide – and treated to three courses made with Southern Mallee produce by chef Amanda Geddes. The district’s dryland farmers produce high-quality protein grain loved by bakers worldwide, with lamb, pork and beef raised on its open plains. Geddes, who grew up in the region, will be joined at this Tasting Australia event by her winemaker husband Tim. Today the pair run the acclaimed winery Geddes Wines at Blewitt Springs in McLaren Vale.
Learn about local horticulture, a sustainable industry that harnesses underground water supplies to produce potatoes, carrots and onions destined for Australian and global markets.
